The Autralianism Prevails...

Aussies have reached yet another finals... But this is their first time on a T20 world-cup.

The toss was won by Michael Clarke, he chose to bowl. I was totally surprised by the decision, and the Pakistani openers too made sure the Aussies paid their price for giving away the chance to really have the upper hand. And the elder Akmal along with Salman Butt started the proceedings really well. At the half way mark Pakistan were 85 for the loss of one wicket, and Akmal was had already departed the previous over. I hoped that now Aussies will really put pressure on the Pakistanis and they will suddenly take the momentum, the eleventh over by David Hussey was a good tight one. Clarke brought in his leg spinner for his second over, Steven Smith. It immediately yielded the reward and Butt was out first ball. Then the young Akmal starts his fight back, he blasts the very next ball by Smith for a boundary. The score moves steadily and the Pakistanis are taking almost 8 an over. then Hussey gets Afridi, who had looked out place in this whole series. Nothing serious than his 30 odd runs in the Super 8. Then Khalid Latif starts from one end and Akmal take over from him and the onslaught is on Aussies. They amass a huge total for Aussies to chase, 191 for 6 in 20 overs.

The Aussies start up by loosing Warner the very first over. Watson looks promising and hits few boundaries before he too is a victim to young Aamer, who is looking very promising at this stage. But yea, it was the same told bout many Pakistani players and a very few have survived. The Haddin, Clarke duo steadily puts a partnership and Haddin is looking good. Clarke in my opinion he is not at all a T20 player. He has a strike rate of 105 something and I really think he would not be in the playing 11 if he wasn't the captain. And the spinners start operating, Rehman gets the valued wicket of Haddin and the Aussies are 58 for 3 in 7.2 overs. Clarke departs the next over and Afridi takes his opposite number. That wicket actually was really helpful in my opinion because chasing 192, Clarke had taken only 17 if the 19 deliveries he faced.

Enters Cameroon White, the inform batsman and one of the clean hitters of a cricket ball in this modern era of Cricket. And the recovery begins with nudging singles in the next few balls. Then White goes for the ones he is famous for and hits Afridi for 2 consecutive sixes. And that shows why he is the captain of Victoria team. He manages to get a six in the next 2 overs and the pair is looking promising. And the Pakistanis strike back again with the wicket of D Hussey. And the elder Hussey enters the arena. White facing Ajmal in over 14 and all the 6 balls he tries to hit the bowler out of the park and the bowler wins all the time. It was one of the best overs of the innings and the pressure is back on Aussies at 112 for 5. White manages another six next over and he is a genius. The required run rate at that stage goes to 14 per over. And the humidity and the spinners are really taking over the Aussies. Thats what I thought, but Hussey opens up in the next Afridi over and hits couple of sixes to make sure that the pressure is not dumped on only one (White's) shoulder. But Afridi the Captain brings on his young fast bowler, and he takes the most valuable wicket of the match for pakistan, Cameroon White holes out at long off. Frankly I lost all hope with Aussies needing 53 from 21 balls.

Very next over Ajmal gets rid of Smith who managed a boundary the first ball he faced. Aussies are 144 for 7 and Johnson on strike. Aussies need 48 from 17 balls. Johnson manages a boundary and he rotate the strike to Mike Hussey or I should say the Mr. Cricket. From nowhere Hussey pulls off a 6 of Ajamal who had tied up the fiery White in his early over, and Hussey keeps the strike. Aussies need 34 of the last 12 balls. An improbable score I thought, but Mr Cricket shows why he is the best for these kind of situations and pulls off a 16 run over. Aussies needs 18 of the last 6 balls. Afridi as planned gives the ball to his trusty spinner Ajmal, who really has a very special Doosra very much similar to the very own creator of Doosra, Saqlain Mustaq. Ajmal is lucky and has Johnson on strike as Hussey had hit a much needed boundary on the last ball of the previous over. Ajmal have to do only one thing ad that was to keep Hussey off the strike. But Johnson gets an edge of a very good yorker and the batsmen scamper a single. Hussey is on strike and Australia needs 17 of 5 balls. I have got up from my chair and have all my fingers crossed for the miracle that has to happen and the miracle did happen. Hussey pulls Ajmal for a clean six and that settles it all and I suddenly see the route to the World-cup finals for the Aussies. Ajmal had dropped that delivery short and had to pay the price. He bowls a straighter and much fuller one to Hussey and guess what the result is the same and Hussey gives it the right treatment. He goes down on his knee and smack that straight back over the bowlers head for a huge six. And the equation reads Aussies needs 5 of the last 3 balls. Ajmal finds himself against the ultimate finisher in world Cricket (along with Bevan) and he really is under a lot of pressure. Who would have thought anybody will be hitting boundaries as good as Hussye and that too which were very much needed. The pressure is there and Ajmal bowls a length ball on the off stump, and Mr Cricket crunches it over the point fielder and gets a boundary. The scores are level and Aussies need just 1 run off the last ball and guess what? Hussey clears his front foot and swung the ball over long on and it sails over the rope. Aussies beat Pakistan by 3 wickets and with one ball remaining. Unbelievable Cricket by Hussey.

I had read this before on Cricinfo  -
John Arlott had written about it in 1948 at the end of a successful tour of England by Don Bradman's men. ""Australianism," wrote Arlott, "means single-minded determination to win - to win within the laws but, if necessary, to the last limit within them. It means where the 'impossible' is within the realm of what the human body can do, there are Australians who believe that they can do it - and who have succeeded often enough to make us wonder if anything is impossible to them. It means they have never lost a match - particularly a Test match - until the last run is scored or their last wicket down."

Mike Hussey really is Mr. Cricket. Even Sachin would agree with that.

Behind the scene..!!!

I really felt good writing my last blog, which was one of the best I have written... It was a special occasion for me... Tasting success on something that I had put almost all my efforts... When I say all my effort I have to mention that it was not only that, but the right intervention from the right people at the right time...

I have always believed in " A friend in need is a friend indeed"... Without all my friends around, it would not have been the same for me, that is to say to reach where I am right now... And pursue my dreams when all the lights in my life where turning off... The book "The Lord of the Rings" have been one of the first books I read, and it is always one of the best books I ever read... In the journey to the land of Mordor, to the Mount Doom, Frodo has to embrace the perils of a lifetime... And in the journey Galadriel (Queen of the Woods) The Lady of Light presents "The light of Earendil" to Frodo, saying "In this phial is caught the light of Earendil's Star, set amid the waters of my fountain. It will shine still brighter when the night is about you. May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out."... And at a stage, Frodo is all alone fighting his way towards the Mount Doom, comes a giant Spider, he tries with all his might to get away and fight it... Takes out the Light of Earendil and tries to frighten the Giant Spider... Eventually he is stung with the Spiders sting and the light falls out of his hand, and all hope is lost... Then when all light is out and all hope is lost, Sam his friend comes from nowhere and take up the fight to the Spider and with the help of the Light of Earendil is able to frighten the Spider and using Frodo's Sword he strikes a blow, and the Spider backs away... He was able to save Frodo and help him on his path...

It was no different from what I had to face in my story too... Without the intervention of them it would not have been the same for me... I am glad I made these friends... From the bottom of my heart Thank You all for being there when I needed you the most...

Taking the First Step...!!!

As its a new beginning for me, I had been on a lookout for a change in my career... I felt it was time I put my hand up and asked for what I really deserved or what I thought I deserved... Anyways had been kinda struggle for a month or 2... But as always I knew I would come out the winner...

Days went by weeks went by... I had put my CV on the most prominent job portals... Used to get calls on the jobs which I had no experience as well as a few which really was the ones that I was looking for... I sent the recruiters, who was offering the one which I was looking for, my latest CV and was lucky to get some calls...

I went on attending the interviews ( 3 of them to be precise) and found no luck with it... I was really pushed to the limit when I couldn't make through the ones which I really felt I had put 100% effort... It was not to be...

So be it...

I was glad that my friends who had my CV had floated it in their network... And when I really felt like the hope with which I had started my job search was dying, I was called up by some companies who got my CV... I went about with technical interviews and HR rounds with 2 of them... Had worked out on all aspects on them both, but as always my luck played the part and didn't hear back from the companies... After following up ( as a friend always said to me) with them, and getting the same answers for a few more days and weeks, again the dejection and rejection started to take up all my precious time and mind...

I had almost given up when again I got a call from another company which offered me the job profile which I wanted and I grabbed it with both hands like a man who is drowning will grab anything he could reach to... It went about the same way, was called for a technical interview and I did all that I could to convince the company that I was the ultimate one in what they were looking for... With a mere hope of success I waited for their response... I was almost about to forget the opening when they gave me a call and asked me to come for a 2nd round of interview.. Again I mustered all strength and did all that I could do to convince this guy as
any who deserved the job as I did... I was convinced that once and for all I will be able to stop being the struggler and will be joining this company and doing good to myself... But again the wind was blowing the other way and I was struggling to hold on to whatever I could now...

Then again as I always believed mine was to be a successful story and I get the call for next round to meet with the top boss on discussion of this opening... And with 2 more meetings with the company I am gladly inducted to their company... It would have been a cake walk for many of you around, but for me it has been a struggle all my life... I had been always fighting for what I wanted and I have been successful even though I have a fair share of failure... In life I have always found that, one thing that would really help you come a long way is perseverance... And whether you like it or not you just gotta wait till its your turn...

I am glad I took the first step towards a better and a good life ahead...

P.S. :- Sole purpose of this blog is to convey my message to all you out there that "You can do it"... There's nothing that is impossible... Nothing is Impossible... Stick to your hard work and do take all the help possible from all loved ones around and with their right intervention and their prayers I can say it without doubt "you can do it"...

Farewell Royals...

It happens so that Rajasthan Royals have lost their last match of the IPL 3... And sadly they wont be playing anymore...

It had been a team to watch and follow all through the 3 IPL season, since Warne showed us how a team can win just because they wanted to... Royals have always been a underdog, compared to other teams in the IPL... They were a team that did the best they could with their captain and coach Shane Warne leading them as no one could do...

It seems their fairytale run is over as we head for the next season with new auctions and 2 more teams coming into the IPL..

This IPL unlike all the other have been a more entertaining and more competitive as compared to the last season... There had been chances for all the team (even Punjab at one stage) that they could reach the semis... And we could witness one of the best innings ever in IPL by Yousuf Pattan against the Mumbaikars... We could see why Sachin Tendulkar is still the man who rules cricket with his bat... Outstanding catches... But we could only see glimpses of the Warne magic which I and I hope many of his fans around the world expected...

Warne had been the man to watch ever since he took the Royals to their first IPL championship at the inaugural tournament... I had wanted see it all the time he played in this tournament... And I as many of his fans will have to wait till the next season to see him again... Hope he is picked by a team that really has a blend of players who could do the job for his captain... unlike this Royals team which solely depended on 3 players... Even though Naman Ojha and Lumb had played some good innings they never really had that start that would have given their team an advantage... Royals depended too much on Pattan and as with the pressure he could never deliver when it was much needed... Watson tried his best, but what can he do whne there isn't much support around...

Anyways hope to see them all on the next IPL... Farewell Royals...

New Beginings...

I have been living my life, believing that I was always right. And because of the same I would be leading a smooth and happy life. I have gone through many challenges and circumstances where my judgment was really tested. But I had surpassed them, with the right moves I had always taken. It never is that easy. The life is something that is always evolving for any one of us.

When we move on with our life that seems so stable and easy, the life challenges you as you are least prepared. And the awareness you achieve while enduring the challenges and moving on, the enlightenment happens. And you realize its not always what we do right that matter, but its how well you understand the challenge. The enlightenment experience makes many things immediately clear.

It is now clear to me that my existence does not depend on anything except awareness. This brings complete relief and liberation. It is clear that life is awareness, and not what awareness experiences.

So the body, the mind, the physical universe as well as dream universes, feelings, knowledge, are all non-essential to being alive. Fear and guilt vanish because awareness is beyond harm and experience is not part of one's being.

Before the enlightenment experience, we have no idea of life without content.

Even though I had made those right choices and took those right decisions, it doesn't guarantee anything to me for the life ahead. But the awareness, gives me a strength. A strength that will take me forward. Towards the destiny that I will be fulfilling.

And there, the New Beginnings...
